Living the Dream – The Black Hawaiian Lionel Wright

Lionel picturePapakolea resident Lionel Wright “the Black Hawaiian” spend times with the Stevenson Middle School youth in the Na’auao program as part of the “Living the Dream” series… sharing the different careers he has explored and how to think about planning for the future.  A recent hit and run victim while riding a moped Lionel shared the importance of personal safety and making good choices.

We the Women 3Congratulations to the Hawaii Pacific University Bachelor’s of Social Work Seniors, New Hope Town and board and staff of Kula no na Po’e Hawaii for a successful day of pampering for “We the Women” of Papakolea.  Entertainment was provided by: Aaron Pennington, Nick Kashem,  Jessica Valdez,  Dylan Tamaribuchi,    Jeremiah Tubon
